Activities inside the Vaquería


If you like the countryside, you´ll love the Vaquería. The rural hotel is located in the valley of Jaraiz de la Vera, Caceres, with view of the Gredos Mountains. Apart from relaxing in the well maintained garden at the privacy of your terrace or swimming pool enjoying the spectacular view, CantaElGallo offers various kind of rural activities.


Most of the activities are typical from the countryside like: the harvest of the orchard, collect the cherries and create your own flower arrangement in the Spring, collect of the bell pepper, mushrooms and chestnuts in the Autumn and pruning of flowers and fruit trees.

For the lovers of painting and photography, Vaqueria CantaElGallo is the ideal site, by the light clean and fresh for the region of La Vera with view on the Gredos Mountains.


Price indication for indoor rural activities and private dinners


Guests at CantaElGallo will have the opportunity to learn how to make marmalade, and fruit sauces with the fruits that have been previously collected in site, for 25€ per person. In addition, and after having collected all the necessary items after a lovely walk around the place; we also offer the possibility to a short course on you how to make a beautiful flower and still life arrangements for 25€ per person.

A raffle will be organized with the flower arrangements done by the visitors at the hotel.


We also offer the possibility for private dinner, served at the main house or in the privacy of your cottage / room rented upon request.
